Saturday is a big day of culture and literacy as Barrie is host to two public reading events. As part of the Carnegie Days Festival The MacLaren Art Centre is promoting the Big Barrie Reading and Lend Me Your Ear. Both events are free to attend and both have open-mic sessions. Come out and read your work.
The Big Barrie Reading starts at 11am and runs until 4pm. The event, hosted by Dr. Bruce Meyer, takes place at the Grey and Simcoe Foresters Regimental Museum, 36 Mulcaster Street, Barrie. From the MacLaren Art Centre website:
