Meeting Schedule

Dear BWC,

Here is a schedule of our planned meetings at Grace United Church on Monday evenings from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm.

We meet every Monday except for Holidays. This year we plan a Christmas party for Monday, December 17, (probably at my house).

This coming year we plan to meet during March break but not Easter Monday, April 22.

Please keep in mind that if the weather conditions are difficult for driving we will cancel. We generally make a decision as late as 4:00 or 5:00 pm of that day, often following the lead of Georgian College. Please check your email or social media for updates on cancellations for a given day.

Monday April 6, 2015 is a holiday – no meeting

Dear BWC,

Just a reminder that as this is a holiday Monday–for some–we will not be meeting tonight.

Our next meeting will be Monday April 13 at 6:30 – 9:00pm at Grace United Church at 350 Grove Street East, Barrie ON.

The First Monday of Every Month

From the Prez:

Dear BWC

As the downtown Barrie Public Library is no longer available due to pending renovation work, for the first Monday of each month we will meet at Grace United Church instead.

So for Monday, January 5, 2015 we will have our first meeting at Grace, 6:30 to 9:00pm.

We will continue to check if there may be other venues available in the downtown area.

Hope you all had a great Christmas and a hopeful New Year.

No meeting on Thanksgiving Monday

No meeting on Monday October 13, 2014 due to the Thanksgiving holiday. Regular meetings resume on Monday October 20, 2014 at Grace United Church from 6:30 – 9 pm.

At the Downtown Library tonight – Monday Oct. 6, 2014

Dear BWC Members,

We do have the Angus Ross Room booked for Monday, October 6, for our usual first Monday of the month. We are also booked for November 3 and December 1, 2014.

I have a short hand-out on editing requirements from a publisher to start our meeting.

Monday July 7, 2014 @ the Barrie Public Library Downtown

Tonight’s meeting takes place at the downtown branch of the Barrie Public Library in the Angus Ross Room from 6:30 pm to 8:45 pm. Come out to listen and critique, read your own work, or to share news and catch-up with other members. Free parking is available.

Monday May 5, 2014 @ the Library

The Barrie Writers’ Club meets at the downtown branch of the Barrie Public Library on Monday May 5, 2014 from 6:30 – 8:45 pm. We’ll be discussing the Anthology, which will use the most popular prompt we can come up with. Please bring lots of ideas, from A – Z, both weird and wonderful. Free parking as usual.

Tonight’s Meeting Cancelled – April 21, 2014

Due to the Easter Holiday, tonight’s meeting is cancelled. Come out to next week’s meeting at Grace United Church on April 29, 2014.
