The First Monday of Every Month
From the Prez:
Dear BWCAs the downtown Barrie Public Library is no longer available due to pending renovation work, for the first Monday of each month we will meet at Grace United Church instead.
So for Monday, January 5, 2015 we will have our first meeting at Grace, 6:30 to 9:00pm.
We will continue to check if there may be other venues available in the downtown area.
Hope you all had a great Christmas and a hopeful New Year.
See you in 2015.

No meeting on Thanksgiving Monday

Dear BWC Members,We do have the Angus Ross Room booked for Monday, October 6, for our usual first Monday of the month. We are also booked for November 3 and December 1, 2014.I have a short hand-out on editing requirements from a publisher to start our meeting.Hope to see you.

Weather Cancellation – Monday Jan. 27, 2014
Due to poor driving conditions predicted for tonight we will cancel tonight’s scheduled meeting.
Our next meeting is scheduled for Monday, February 3, 6:30-8:45 at the Barrie Public Library, Downtown.
Rose-Ann Marchitto will be leading a short workshop on increasing emotional depth in our writing.

No Meeting Monday July 1, 2013
Monday July 1, 2013 is Canada Day and as I’m sure you are all aware, a holiday. There will be no meeting that day. Our regular meetings will resume on Monday July 8, 2013 at Grace United Church from 6:30 to 9 pm. Enjoy the first long weekend of summer and maybe get some writing done. If you need inspiration, Sara’s prompts are just a scroll down the page.

Monday, May 6, we will meet at the Downtown Library at 6:30 in the Angus Ross Room (60 Worsley Street, Barrie).As we had Noelle Bickle do a short session on editing last Monday we will be doing readings and critiques.Please bring pieces you are considering for the anthology–poetry in 24 or 50 lines; short stories up to 3,000 words (much shorter is good too). We welcome first or other chapters from works in progress.The rest of the month we meet at Grace United Church, 350 Grove Street East, Barrie.See you!Evie
